Beware of Dangerous Side Effects from Birth Control Patch

J&J, Ortho McNeil is the maker of a popular Ortho Evra contraceptive birth control patch. This birth control patch has dangerous side effects. These same side effects were seen in early use of "the birth control pill" or "the pill", but were controlled by dosage adjustment. Clearly, there is a high incidence of these dangers of the birth control patch. The injuries tend to occur more often and be more severe.

It is reported in studies that a number of women gain weight when they begin to use the pill, while others notice menstrual flow changes (increased, decreased, clotting), vaginal mucus discharge and even a loss in sexual desire. The pill also has side effects such invilving increase or decrease in blood pressure, acne skin problems and is known to cause urinary tract infections.

News reports have discussed that there have been many people suffering side effects from the Ortho Evra patch.

The most dangerous side effects of the contraceptive patches are DVT, PE, Heart Attack & Stroke (deep-vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism). The source of all four are blood clots which often begin in the legs.

Some women have died of these side effects while using the Ortho Evra birth control patch. Others have been permanently disabled.
